If i store items in a chest somewhere (where pebblecrusher was maybe)....can i gte the items later or can they be stolen?

The 10 hit points the caster uses when casting harpers call...are not permanent, right?

Yes and no.

There are a few areas where you shouldn't store things, like the strongholds you can obtain (before obtaining them) and Bohdi's lair... Besides those, and the Watcher's Keep (SoA vs ToB) chests are good.

The Harpers Call doesn't remove the hp permanently, though I like the idea (from a role playing perspective). Just be carefull that she doesn't kill herself casting it after a nasty battle.

Remember, though, that all items not on the party will vanish when you move to ToB. Well, except for certain ones that are automatically brought with a party PC, when you summon them to join you.

That should be a fine place to store things. I generally leave them in the Copper Coronet because that's the first inn I go to when I get out of the first dungeon. It's a kind of central place where a fair bit happens. Your items won't be stolen, but they may disapear if the particular map your on "resets" like it does with some of the strongholds before you do the quest to aquire them.
