hi there, i was wondering if i could somehow change the disciplines of a class of vampire, i know it can be done, but dont know how, maybe with the VPKTool ? i just want my tremere to have celerity, which i want really badly ;[

I wish kids these days would use the search function. Anyway, here's what you need to do.

I trust you already know how to get into the console (edit your shortcut to point to ...\vampire.exe" -console). Open the console, and type this command: Vstats buy celerity x. I'm not sure what number x is-- my source, this thread, implies that its one to get 0 points in it, and then one more for every additional point you want. So if you just want celerity and don't want anything else (so that you dont' cheat too much), it would be Vstats buy celerity 1. Try that, and if it doesn't work, change 1 to 2 or 3 or something. Have fun.

heh, well, first of all, i`m not a kid anymore. second -search, tried it, but guess i`m no sherlock and finally what i did was just to 'switch' the bodies of tremere with toreador and changed the "ClanEffect" "Clan (Toreador)" to tremere

hey blu3 Marine you changed the Clan effects?
can you tell me how you did it?

well sure, first download this thingy -> http://www.vampireheaven.com/vheaven/fi ... e&file=161
its a mod that changes gangrel skin to that of beckets. unzip it and inside you will find the file clandoc000.txt, make changes there as you wish and copy it to ..\Vampire - Bloodlines\Vampire\vdata\system
if you are playing gangrel and dont want that skin of his, you must edit those gangrel lines in there
dont know if that clan effect works 100% ok, but it supposed to, with this you can change the clan effect anytime you wish, thus completing some quest which are only available to some clans

BlueMarine, I didn't mean offense. Its just a personal rant of mine to have that post stickied since quite litterly, I use it to answer 3 questions a day, much like yours. And when I said search, I meant "read through every single thread," which is kinda lame. Important information like this should be front page, imo, not 10 pages in constantly. Well whatever. I'm sorry again.

nothin` to be sorry about man, its lame also from my side that i missed that topic, yea, guess it should be sticky but it aint... i also dont like the same topic to be examined in 50threads one under eatch other...

Unfortunately, most people ignore sticky threads, and a good many ignore other threads altogether. We've even had posters ask the same question as the thread just above theirs. So with respect, I don't think making this a sticky is the answer. Besides, it's just one of several such questions that pop up regularly, here.

I might consider stickying a small FAQ with Most Asked Questions, if somebody wants to write one up. Of course, we'd still get the questions anyway, but at least then, we could reasonably laugh at the thread starters.

Since the thread question was answered, this thread's closed. PM me if anybody who has waded through this forum regularly wants to work up a short FAQ as described above.
