Mine does. Some people say the level 127 patch doesn't work in xp, though. But I haven't reached level 50 yet so I just don't know. :D

level 127

Win XP has a uniqe folder structure for everyone. Look where it is installed and move the dot mes file into the correct folder. Read the readme to learn where it is and you may need to create the folder called rules below the data folder. You also need to rename your Arcanum dot exe to old or org. You must enable viewing extensions to do this or both exe will try and run. Copy or move the new dot exe into the Arcanum folder. If Windows complains check your renaming before continuing.

I've used level 127 for several games now. If your willing you can modify the dot mes file and level at a rate you like.

XP and Arcanum

I have been trying to get Arcanum to run on XP and it keeps giving me either a no start of the program or a bug saying "Unable to load function: FT_Thunk (Kernel32.dll)" so i am not so sure that it does run at all. any advice?

That dll error sounds like a Shrink issue. IIRC, Shrink was an oldstyle program used to "shrink" (compress) dll files. The de-shrinking goes awry on modern machines, mostly due to higher speed processors. I don't get it myself. :)
I think you've got two options: download Deshrinker and try to mess around with it, or let someone send you the Deshrinked dll.
