fortify attack?

i dont understand i found skull crusher and it has a constant effect of fortify attack of 5pts. and i found some exclusive fortify attack for 20pts for 30sec. does fortify attack mean + damage or + chances of a hit. thanks ladies and gentlemen.

I believe it increases your damage, but don't quote me on that.

The birthsign the warrior gives +10 Attack, and is described in the manual as having an improved chance of hitting. Defense and armour ratings decrease chance of being hit.

Armor ratings don't involve your chances of being hit. They involve your chances of taking damage when hit, or the amount of damage you take.
