the You only die once or whatever its called i am having a lot of trouble with. ive tried it about 6 times, the closest i've ever come was 10 seconds left before the zombies busted out through the gate. every time they either escape through a gate or about 20 of them surround and kill me. i try setting up "possesion guards" near the gates to distract the other zombies but for some reason possession doesnt work(well, it did once).

My char is a Ventrue, with lvl 4 dominate and the pistol, shotgun, auto shotgun, "jaime sue", fire axe, knife, uzi, magnum, and a couple others. basically all the weapons i have seen.

any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry mate, but after I don't know how many tries I had enough of that quest. The longest I got was about 1 minute left of the 5. The way is just to long from one to the other door.

You can ask the guard though if you can do something else for him, and then he asks you to get him a girl for tonight. Go to the whore in front of the Lucky Starr Hotel and ask her if she would be willing, after a bit of persuasion she comes with you.
You won't get the experience, but you can get either money or improving your firearms skill.

I tested this one using the Noclip command. Even though I was moving straight through the dividing wall, safely floating 10 feet above the zombies moving back and forth at an inhuman or rather 'inkidrine' speed. I beat the quest with 5 zombies on one gate and 3 on the other. I barely sliced through each group just in time while they were both pounding at the weakening gates.

Even with my obviously advantageous and remarkably unfair cheats___had to repeat the effort 6 times to get the task done!!!

I truly think this one is jokingly difficult if not impossible.

Just get the guy a date before his midnight movie starts.

well, my first tries were awfull also, because of like 5fps in the last 2 minutes, but now that i have a new cpu :) i managed to beat it few times, well, the best thing to do is use Glock17 (Brokk 17), 1 headshot = zombie dead, large clip capacity, much ammo and so
for other weapons->they`re quite useless, mac-10 is blind, in jaimie sue you have like 5bullets, shotgun is useless because of large reload time and automatic one consumes a heck of ammo, melee/unarmed i wouldnt recommend because zombies can catch you and inspect your brains which slows you a lot and you can get surrounded by that time
you must constantly run between the gates and kill only the zombies which are near the gate, when going from the upper gate to lower one, jump down instead of going through the path, i was using celerity a lot and replenishing the blood from the artifact that you can get from Occultish personality quest
its all about run to one gate, headshot 3-4zombies, run to the other gate, do the same, etc.
if you also see that one gate is all screwed up(damaged) concentrate on that one primarily

Yes, this is THE hardest quest in the whole game.. almost impossible,, the only chance you will ever have is if you guard the gate where it is most zombies(I mean where most of the zombies are spawned).
You may use possession or suicide but dont waste to much though.
The best weapon u can use is the brokk17, the UTICA m17 or the braddock(if your firearms is high).

But either way, I dont have the patiens to complete that quest more than once, so I always fetch a hooker for him instead ;) .. Hope Ive helped you,

Good luck

I tried this with my Tremere, and was never able to do it, finnally fetched the prositute so I could get the skill bonus. My second character, a Malkavian did it on the second try with 5 seconds to spare.

I think this is one of the best quests in the whole game.

I've beat this with a character from each of the clans with the 44 revolver. Headshots are the key and not concentrating too long on one gate. Also some of the zombies don't appear to attack the gates so I don't waste shots on them or any of the zombies meandering around as I run between the gates. Clans with celerity make this almost easy, all of the others usually took a couple of tries.

odd

thats odd, i got through that quest on my first try...and the guns proved useless, they took too long to kill, and i had quite an arsenal. So my Malkavian proceded with the Fire Ax to hack his way thorough. Just ignore and avoid the Zombies trying to get you, and hack anything near the gates to pieces, when you try get to the other gate, dont go down the road, obviusly ;)

I fail to understand what's so tough about this quest. I managed to fail it once and that was because I was only guarding one gate.

Basically, kill about a dozen at one gate, run to the other (ignore zombies along the way), kill another dozen or so (starting with the ones attacking the door), go back to the first gate, repeat for 5 minutes. No celerity, no console, just an axe...

It was pretty easy for me too, but I can imagine it would be harder if I hadn't specialized in melee. You have to kill them pretty fast to make it.

In any case, only kill the ones at the gates, ignore the rest.
