I always thought dwemer but maybe older dwemer, dwemer more dunmer than dwemer as they were all one race which you probably know (if you don't you can check here
The Library.) And I thought this because of a certain book I read, although most of the authors books were true he usually changed stories to make them 'Dwemer', he was supposed to be a dwemer... specialist is the best word I can come up with, anyway some people thought that he was a fake.

Dunmer and Dwemer are two different types of Mer. I think the strongholds were the old Chimer strongholds before they (the Chimer) changed to Dunmer and either returned to their former tribal lifes, or became "civilized", sich as the 5 remaining Great Houses.

You are missing House Dres, also the Dwemer were referred to as house dunmer, House Dwemer they were called I believe.

Well.. there is many other extinct houses and ashlander tribes..
But as for Velothi.. i serisuly doubt that it was one of chimer great houses.

I think there was actually some reference to house velothi during a part of the main quest (sorry I can't be specific, but the whole thing would be a lot to remember)

I thought six great houses were :
Redoran
Hlaalu
telvanni
Indoril
Dwemner
Sixth house - dagoth
Velothi and Dres are lesser houses - i think.
I always thought strongholds were predating tribunal and heart of Lorkhan(?) when dunmer worshipped daedra

From what I know of TES lore, Velothi and Dres aren't lesser houses, they just operate on the mainland of Vvardenfell and have no influence in the island of Morrowind. Velothi (the house of the ancient Dunmer hero Veloth) has long died out, but Dres is still very active in the northeasternmost part of Tamriel.

yes..
But as for Moltovir.. better way to say it would be Southeastmost area of Morrowind.

. their capital is called as Tear.. and they pretty much like old traditions... so they are Tamriel version of... (keep dreaming Fable i wont say it)

I do happen to be one, yes. Although it's not uncommon in Belgium, the people across the ocean still consider it a strange thing. Its commonly accepted that I occasionly drink a young virgins blood, however. And with Belgiums climate, you never have to worry about sunlight.
