doesn't happen all the time, or every shot, but when it does, its pure magic...
two mandalor disintegrators, pinpoint scope mark IV, pure rylath power cell and mandalorian chamber mark III.
give to a character with blaster specialization (implant is the easy way, requires con 18 for the d type implant) high dex, master power blast, and precise shot V feat.
the 2 damage from blaster specialization, the 12 from power blast, 8 from precise shot, and some of the damage from the upgrades will triple in a critical hit. (constants double and triple in a critical hit, whether by using sniper shot or power blast...like a straight +4 damage doubles/triples, but not 2-12 damage bonus)
this rig will typically do 30-50 damage, but every 4 shots or so, (threat range for a mandalorian disintegrator(with pinpoint scopes) is one in four... you will see 100-153 damage...
now using power attack and improved beam gem lens will max out around 110 for a critical hit, (unless you're a watchman/assassin with sneak attack) but since speed powers work with power attack, though it does not work with power blast, you more than make up the hurt...
manalorian rippers and disintegrators have the best threat range for ranged weapons in the game...
the assassin rifle in the guide book has excellent threat range, but i've never seen it...has anyone ever seen it?
