So ... I have decided to start over again with a party of two and now ask for your advise re feats/skills/spells:
First Char
Drow male NE Rogue1/Ranger1/SorcererXX
Stats: 8/20/10/14/8/20
Feats (til now): Dodge, Weapon Finesse, Expertise
Skills: Diplomacy, Bluff, Intimidate, Hide, Move silently, Search, Concentration, Spellcraft, Pick Pocket
Spells (til now): Sleep, Shield
Second Char
Deepgnome LE Rogue1/Monk1/Dreadmaster of Bane XX
Stats: 10/20/10/13/20/1
Feats (til now): Dodge, Expertise
Skills: Pick lock, Concentration, Spellcraft, Disable device, Knowledge arcana
Now I would like to get some input what skills to max, what feats/spells to take in the future (so that I have a chance in the later game and in future in HoF mode)
Your advise is appreciated

Are your Chars are set in stone or are you willing to start over? How will you level them (see problem here -> Drow (male) fav. class Wizard n o t Sorcerer = ECL Race + multiclass XP penalty, same problem with deep gnome (fav .class Wizard), can be solved if you take Drow (female) as they have cleric as fav. class
By the way Drow + Deep Gnome in one party? Watching american movies a lot, do ya (2 guys on steroids calling each other names, forced to work together)
no pun intended

If I hadn't made a severe wrong decision, I would prefer not to start over again
I know about the XP penalty, but I have wilfully decided to ignore that because
(i) in a party of two, the penalty of 20% is not so drastic as the leveling is still comparably fast
(ii) the levels stay in a range where the game still awards some XP for monster kills
(iii) I wanted the chars in this combination
I would like to watch American movies with a Drow (like Drizzt) and a Svirfneblin (like Belwar) on steroids calling each other names (but then a 200 million dollar production with a dark-skinned, white-haired Orlando Bloom and a grey-haired, grey-skinned John Rhys-Davies
![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/)
). To be honest: I was in a way inspired of the Darf Elf books and thus decided to group a svirf with a drow.
So, now I am asking how to develop those chars... particularly in view of the feat selections to come.

Okay, that's advise, but I chose two rogues at the beginning so that both got many skill points, can deal with traps, locks and can pickpocket the NPCs, have proficiency with bows etc. and for the hit points. I chose ranger for the drow so that he can dual-wield light weapons (with weapon finesse, has a class-enemy) and gets even more hit points and monk for the deepgnome because of the Wis +AC bonus. As both have maxed Dex, Dodge, Expertise, some spells and the Deep Gnome can add his Wis bonus to the AC they are at the moment quite "unhittable". My request aims more at the feat selection: what SF/GSF for which char, is "Spirit of Flame" useful, should I chose dirty fighting or concentrate on spellcasting and so on...

As you may have guessed from my former post I am more of a power-gamer than role-player, so your choices on profession are totally beyond me (breaking in cold sweat, 'cause of no way to make those characters semi-gods
![Eek! :eek:](./images/smilies/)
)
Well thoughts so far:
Does he play HoF -> aiming for lvl. 30
Sorcerer top out at 20 for #spells per day and at 29 for known spells (hence all those aasimar Paladin1/SorcererX)
Cleric(/Druid) best at 24-26 (high-lvl spell max reached)
or normal game -> doability/survival
As you are small in number you may consider specialising in disabling magics (very important if you go for HoF), taking focus and gr. focus here, if so complement with lowering saves (best via cleric or vice versa if cleric is disabler, to hand out spells in conjunction)
I do not dare to give you concrete feats, cause they really depend on your playing style, just ask yourself what your team want (have) to accomplish and look what you need to do so.
Just saw your comment and want to remember you of the fact that dex bonus (and if not srewd wis bonus too) is negated if caught flat-footed, which could happen if you' re flanked by enemies (could get your cleric in real trouble, due to spellcasting failure (heal)).
