I really hate to seem stupid but how do you get there??
I have played the game through dozens of times and have never had this quest appear on my map.
Thanks,

There are several ways to get the Tower to turn up on your map. The easiest is just to wander onto the Tower map from any of the surrounding locations (check the map here: http://www.gamebanshee.com/baldursgate/ ... ullmap.php). The second main way is to head up to Ulgoth's Beard and talk with the dwarf in the bar there, or the tour guide outside the bar. Both of them will mark your map with the location (and if you follow the tour guide immediately, you can teleport directly to the Tower as well).

You do need the Tales of the Sword Coast expension for Durlag's Tower.

Thanks Guys but....

I do have Sword Coast installed, I think, and have not had any luck getting the map to show the tower from the surrounding zones nor have I been able to get to the Ulgoth's Beard.
The Lighthouse comes with the Sword Coast right??
I'll keep plugging away, perhaps I am doing something wrong.

Hey JD, what lighthouse are you talking about?
If you have Tales of the sword coast you should see Ulgoths Beard At the North and East of Baldurs Gate. Can you go there at all?
Durlags tower is all the way in the East about south center. It is a dwarvin tower.
Do you use the expansion disk, Tales to launch your BG game?

Try hitting the Tower after Chapter 4, start of Chapter 5. You should be able to access Ulgoth's Beard around Chapter 4, but definitely by Chapter 5.

Do you see other components of TotSC installed, such as +3 sling bullets and the like? Double check to make sure the install worked.

:D You guys hit it right on the head, I did a re-install and like magic I was able to access both.
It added an interesting set of quests and since I also intsalled an XP cap remover at the same time my characters leveled up a couple of times.
Saddly my goal for this game, keeping Imoen alive through the whole thing was busted by the sirenes on the wrecked ship island because they dire charmed her and killed her as she was coming out of it thus was no longer a party member at death. :(
Maybe next time.

Hey JD great news indeed. I would not let Immy die though, try to reload, after all she's like family. Just so you know also there mods you can use to also inhance your game. Good luck and Safe adventuring!
