if u want a good ending for gecko
do their reactor thingie but don't upgrade it
(let em waste chemical waste)
so use robot to fix powerplant but don't go back to vc to upgrade the plant

I had the same ending once, The problem with the robot thingo is i can't actually use the robot as it is very complicated im not sure wheather it's due to the fact my game wasn't patched but it sure sucked trying to use that god damm robot! i tried not helping gecko but the plant just melted at the end lol But if you ever figure out how to use all those commands on the robot let me know!

i mostly save before doing those commands
first i go screw up navaro so they can come and get me
then i do robot commands
think the combination is 4 1 5 3 2 or something
i remember when i play that part again

Gecko
Gecko destroyed: Blow up the power plant.
Gecko and Vault City form uneasy truce: Fix the power plant but don't get the Reactor Holodisk from Festus.
Gecko invaded by Vault City: Fix and optimize the power plant.
There are two pictures for Gecko; both show the power plant, but for ending 3 the lights are on.
Note that you can fall between endings 2 and 3 and thus not get any ending for Gecko even though you fixed the plant. Rumours that ending 3 is triggered by giving the Gecko Holodisk to McClure and/or performing Stark's scouting mission around Gecko are incorrect. You always get it if you optimize the plant. The best ending for Gecko, which would require you to optimize the plant and get the Gecko Holodisk from Gordon after talking to the Brain, is impossible to get due to a silly bug in the endings script.

Awful lot of buggy endings there. I always felt guilty for the ghouls at Gecko. Wiped out VC completely once, still didn't help the ghouls! I wonder if there is an independent fan bug fix for any of this?
Cheers,

as for the commands to use the robot, just observe the names of the machinery in order closest to farthest... starting from the closest to you and ending with the farthest...

To the ones who are incredibly perceptive you would notice that the input combinations contain the names of the planets in our solar system.
All you have to do is simply name them in reverse and it should work.

I hate those buggy endings! In an attempt to save Gecko I went out and killed every inhabitant in VC and somehow they must have risen from their graves and annexed poor Gecko.

Well, I'm not that suprised that developers didn't include the possibilities that you decide to kill everyone in certain city in case of endings. If they had, that would have meant dozens of different endings, depending on which city you destroyed. Think about it:
- The normal endings to those two cities already present in the game
- Ending where you exterminated VC and didn't fix the reactor
- Ending where you exterminated VC and did repair the reactor
- Ending where you exterminated both cities
- Ending where you exterminated Gecko
And then, think the same formula to every city, town and village in game. And that's not only the endings, but then those should affect ingame situations as well, like the quest you may or may not get...
I would say, too big work for only small chance that someone actually goes for those paths...
