Handmaiden(s) (Spoilers)

I've read GB walkthrough and I now I am scared. I've played Kotor I with many classes , mostly LS male and Soldier/one of three JC and I consider everyone very easy to beat but now I see that II may cause me some trouble and of course great fun. Are these Handmaides really so hard to beat if you play LS Consular or Sentiel? Althought I've played this two classes I've tried to make them balance in combat and Force Powers . Are they so powerful? And the Red Eclipse ? I dont get it you a Jedi aren't you? Then how they may cause you any trouble? How?Just how?
