Ok i've been lookinat a few walkthroughs on the net bout KOTOR and im only just finding out now that apparantly dexteriy affects your chance to hit with a lightsabre. Is this true? If it is true then why do you have to bother with strength, couldn't you just up greade dexterity and get a hight defense plus the affect of strength (with a lightsabre) and also save attibute points. Im confused, help wanted.

Dexterity affects your chance to hit with any melee weapon, as I recall. Also your chance of being hit.
Strength is calculated in the damage you do with melee weapons. So if you're a melee type, a nice mix of dexterity and strength will let you beat somebody to a pulp very quickly, all in the name of some comic book nonsense.

Well from what I understand it goes something like this, and this is for sabres only AFAIK:
Character A has 16 Str and 12 Dex he'll have +3 to hit, +3 damage and +1 defense
Character B has 12 Str and 16 Dex he'll have +3 to hit, +1 damage and +3 defense
That should do it.

Dex only affects lightsabre's and guns. What Skuld says in correct.
