Okay, if you want to romance Viconia, or are doing it as we speak, and you don't want to know ANYTHING about this, stop reading this topic now, and go for another topic. Otherwise, I'd like to know what to expect ..

Okay, I've been trying to get Viconia to like me.

It is obvious she is fighting with herself, but because she doesn't realize this, she's actually fighting with my main character at seemingly every turn.

She has learned not to trust anyone, and to solely depend on herself. This defense has been brought up for so long already, and so tight, that she seemingly no longer knows how to lower it. As a result, romancing her is a constant uphill battle, while her walls are so strong you require an atom bomb to blast through them.

At the same time, she suddenly receives something she didn't expect at all, namely companionship, and respect. This confuses her, but seems to ignite her heart, who yells out to break free from that prison she created for herself, and reach out to that person who gives that to her, namely the main character.

So far, my main has spend one night with her, after which she accused him of being a pathetic weakling and such. Afterwards, she even went as far to say she lied about everything she said before, and that she whored (is that a good word?) her way around, to remain safe. She got pissed off about the fact that my main remained cool, and said he knew what she was really like. She cut off the conversation there.

Now I'm wondering if this battle with her will eventually result in something beautiful or not ... I've already read the romance thingy with her NPC discription, but that is somewhat vague. To be honest, although I see progress, I wonder if it will be worth it ... I'm beginning to somewhat tire of her constant insults. I still want to keep up (I even twice robbed a merchant blind before he noticed - to lower my reputation for her; she runs off when you get a reputation of 19 or 20), and take it to the end, but I would like to know if there's some satisfactory event in the end. Any ideas??

I had some kind of bug whereby I woke up one morning and she had a go at me for not sleeping with her...

Well if you'd just ask dear...

I dunno i think she doesn't like my rep. (17).

She will just keep on turning u off at certain moments ( even insulting u too for your um " inadequacies ) but just keep true and straight and be there for her...She is very insecure of herself and your emotions so don't give up ( after all, drows are hated throughout the realms and a female drow is usually the dominating one in the famuly )


In the end she will fall for you but

Then Lloth sends her handmaiden and a yochlol to deal with both of u ( u get a nice drow chain that will not be destroyed in sunlight )...Then she will say she wants to leave you for you two can never be ( either she fails u or the other way around )
U can ask her to stay and help you..and then she will agree and that is the end of the romance scripts and she will then be in love with you


BTW, 17's ok...there are those with 20 rep....they just kick her out, get the rep, then retake her ( I am not sure on this as mine was around 12 )--> heard it from someone

BTW, turning into the slayer reduces your rep by 2 ....And in the bridge district, in the kidnappers ( Tirdir, Graveyard, Buried Alive Quest ) home, there is a woman upstairs whom u can take a ransom for which reduces your rep

yeah - i heard about the handmaiden thang, it's yet to materialise...

as for the rep - this time around i'm being a goody two shoes...

I know about the Slayer thingy and reputation ... but I'm not having that ability yet!

Neither can I set slaves to explode yet (Underdark), so no option there either. I had already solved the kidnap quest.

I was in Trademeet when my reputation hit 19, and Viconia got angry, said we would meet next time in battle, and was gone. I loaded, looked up two unimportant merchants, and robber their items until they noticed, and called me a thief. This dropped my reputation for a total of 4 points. It is still at 16, uncomfortably high for Viconia ("I grow tired of spending my time with fools" - ouch, this hurts when you want to romance her), but manageable.

But since this treasure is so difficult to win for yourself, I would expect some big reward for your persistence.

It seems my game is buged,because i reached 20 points of reputation and Viconia never left!She was just complaining.I did the last two chapters of the game with reputation 18,19 and 20 and she was with me till the end.
Now,is this a bug or it is related with the oath she gave to the Elven general in the Underdark exit to help me anyway she can?

If you're playing for fun then perhaps you should edit your rep. to stay at 18 everytime when some quesat result may affect your rep. To be frank i boost my rep straight away before i picked Viconia to avoid this problem.

About romancing her, when Viconia got a bit open to you. I mean when she talk some sensitive things i.e. asking about human point of view about relationship etc. Do you reply it in a bitter way ? You should reply the question she asked in "human" way. Then after this when you rest, she will say something about "let's get this over with"...
U can guess from the saying that she thinks you want to have sex with her at that rest time. But to soften her ultimately u must reject to have sex with her instead just sleep together and hold hands each other. In the morning you can see the result yourself

Hey, kiddo, long time no see! Where have you been all the time?

Anyway, yes, I slept with her once, and yes, I always answered in a 'human' way, hoping to thaw her, and see how much more generous people can be and such.

If you read my initial message correctly, I haven't yet been 'close' to her again, but for what I know, this will be more satisfactory for both.

Well you can wait till she broke her silence. She does that to me too that time. And when she does she will do exactly what i told u in my last threat. Then it's time to dig in and enjoy yourself....

I do admit she's one tough cookie than any women i have ever try to crack in my whole life !

I forget to add one very crucial thing.....
Never ever mix Viconia with Jaheira, if you do try to keep both of them out of any confrontation. Keep in mind that Jaheira is Half Elf which partilally makes her got something towards Drows.
If you do then mouth your way so Jaheira can keep out of your romancing thing.

Actually, I have both of them in my party, right from the start. They're bitching between each other all right, but whenever I get to interject something, I always go for the option that suits Viconia best.

So far, I've been 'close' with her three times now, third time just holding her close. She was very pleased by it. seemingly, but shortly thereafter, she told me she had a sudden cold feeling, as if something tained by Lloths force was roaming about.

I guess this will lead to the assassination attempt.
