leave yeslick in mines?

what happens if you tell turdlick to take a walk?does he disappear for all time or does he wait somewhere outside the mineshaft because you cant go back in?

Ever been caught in an underwater cave? Nasty stuff. Like anyone else (or any gear) left in the mines, Yeslick doesn't make it.
