Hi, I am a newbie to this game and have just bought a map from the merchant in Neverwinter's City Core. I have tried everything I can think of but I cannot read this map. Everytime I click on EXAMINE a box comes up saying what the map is and gives information about it, but it does not show the actual map. Please help me. What can I do? Thanks in advance.

Maps aren't shown in a box or something similar. They should (will) "explore" the area for you, so if you for instance buy a map over the docks in Neverwinter, then examine it/use it and the docks should be explored (dark stuff removed) when you enter the area.
