Roshandhal Arrives in Balmora

Gidday all,

I recently started a new PC, a Bosmer by the name of Roshandhal. This guy is quite different to Zar, in that he's basically a thief with a bit of magic thrown in. And his personality is quite different too - first of all he's extremely grumpy with having been dumped here in Vvardenfall, secondly he's got absolutely no wish to help the Empire in any way - they let him go free, great. "Power and money will be mine! And then revenge!" are basically his thoughts on the matter.

So his core stats are AGI and SPE, his main skills are Short Blade, Marksman, Stealth, Security and Light Armour, with secondary skills Merchant, Speech, Armourer, Illusion and Block. He's only 5th level at the moment, and his best skill is Stealth at 62. AGI and SPE are both at 70. I've found AGI is quite hard to train, too.

Arriving at Sedya Neen, Rosh was very, very grumpy. He back-talked to the Imperials, almost refused to carry their package (he seriously thought about dumping it in the nearest pond) and wasn't really interested in being their messanger boy. Once they let him out, he skulked around Seyda Neen, breaking into houses, looting the locals and causing trouble. Luckily, none of the guards saw anything, although he was forced to kill a couple of the local commoners, for being both smelly and for hold items which Rosh wanted.

Rosh gave Fargoth his ring and then stole it back, broke into Fargoth's house and stripped it clean, found the dead tax collector and spent the money. Killed the murderer and stripped his house clean. Killed the tax collector's girlfriend (hey, that ring was worth cash!). Rosh eventually had to leave, as there was nothing else to steal around!

Arriving in Balmora, he thought to dump the package ASAP, and then ignore this "Caius" guy from then on. Rosh found the Thieves Guild - a group of like-minded individuals - and signed up. Stole a diamond from the alchemist, no problems. Picked clean every house he could get into (one or two have doors which are too obvious at the moment).

Eventually he decided to drop off this package. Wandering into Caius's place, he passed the package over and went to leave. When Caius told him he was joining the Blades, Rosh laughed in his face. After recovering from the beating Caius gave him, Rosh agreed to join up. Privately he swore to slice Caius into very small pieces and feed his remains to the Nix-hounds.

After several more days of sneaking about Balmora, picking locks and stealing everything not nailed down (well, somethings that were nailed down as well. And the nails), Rosh decided to wander off north (all these assassins are making him very jumpy, too). He's heard of some more towns about (Caldera and Alh'Ruhn) and is planning to go and pick them clean as well. And then, he thinks he'll head off to Vivic, and pick that clean as well! None of this "help the Empire blah blah blah" rubbish. :)

Will keep you posted. Note that with this PC I'll join the Morag Tong, and try to complete the Thieves Guild quests. He's joined the Mage Guild and Fighter's Guild as well, and House Hlaalu, but Thieves Guild/Morag Tong take priority.

Cheers,
TGHO

Can you actually join the sixtho house? I've never seen any way to do that.

Morag Tong quests are fun. They aren't very creative quests, but sometimes take creative solutions.

Go to this really weird and hard to get to place and kill this really tough guy is basicaly the format. :D

Edit: Also, keep us posted on your quest to actually join the tong.. and please people nobody spoil it for him!

There is plugin wich will allow you to join ''Sixt house'' i belive you can find it on Summit.. well unless you are on PC. Edit.. second time.. is it just me but doesn't that sentance sound little bit weird? But i am sure you will get right picture.

EDIT...

THE MORAG TONG BASE WHERE YOU CAN JOIN THAT FACTION IS IN MARANDUS. IT IS LITTLE NORTH WEST FROM SURAN.

Joke... BTW i belive that i have allready spoiled that place for TGH.. right location might be found on some of those Zarustha progress threads

It would seem like quite some fun to join the sixth house, with a lot of activities to participate in:

-Spreading the nasty corprus thingy and killing people in the stupid town known as tel bra.....

-Hang around in ilunibi WITHOUT getting slaughtered when you are lv2 and eat some medium wrapped corprusmeat (mmm)

-Backstabbing Mr. Ur and taking his place (as the sneaky bosmer filth we all have probabely been once) when the ascended sleepers aren't looking your way.

And many more FUN activities. :D

Yes, it is possible with a mod. A very well made mod too. I enjoyed it alot. Also, Suran Underworld is a good mod, that one is available on MW summit.

Yes, Rosh will join the Morag Tong - he's already spoken to the Tong members in Balmora and they have pointed him to Vivic. However he doesn't know where to go in Vivic, but he'll look when he gets there. No, he's not falling for your silly attempts at misdirection, Eggy. ;)

Sixth House? You can't join the Sixth House, unless there is a mod which allows that. What's it called? Is there a point to joining the Sixth House? (I have Suran Underworld installed, btw).

It is for evil people..

TGH had a goody-goody character before, so why can't he have an evil one now?

But such absrtact concepts like good and evil often depend on point of view. Even that Bosmer does sound quite evil.. it still doesn't mean that he is pure form of evil. Personally i wouldn't have much to do with that bosmer.. but since we cant be 100% sure what happened long time ago when Lord Nerevar died. So perhaps things aren't sso simple as the game makes them look at.. personally I just wont belive that whole death of Nerevar would be so simple.

Sixth House 2.03 - a Morrowind plugin by Endrek, you can get it at MW summit. I have it installed, but since my char is still very low level, I haven't met any Dreamers yet, so no chance to join.

Hmmm, whilst Rosh isn't abjectly evil per see, he is pretty amoral. Much more interested in personal profit (and revenge against the Empire for dumping him in this pitiful, backwards and pathetic backwater).

I am planning on playing a purely evil Necromancer at some point - I might install the Sixth House plugin for her.

I wonder what your character would think about the little inn in Suran with the half naked dancers!

Problem is, there are no real evil or criminal factions in the game. There is the Thieves Guild, a small band of wackos and weaklings who occasionly crack the vault of the poorest sod in town. There's the Morag Tong, a wanna-be assassins guild that follows stupid things like "Codes of Honor". The only two bad-ass factions in the game are the Camonna Tong and the Dark Brotherhood, both not joinable. But there's the excellent Suran Underworld, a criminal faction that gives you all-in-a-days work: the occasional assassination of abolitionists or other troublemakers, stealing some expensive things here and there, cutting the throat of a traitor, extort from the local merchants, execute an escaped slave, ... Plus you get some nifty rewards and there's an alternate quest line for the true evil-doers like vampires, necromancers or lycanthropes. You can download it at the MW Summit.

I've got Suran Underground installed, but it sounds like it's not something for any of my characters from that info, Moltovir! Well, except maybe my really evil Necromancer - but playing her is a little way off as yet. I want Rosh to be around 20th level before I start her up. Hmmm, maybe Zar can pay this new Tong a visit, and teach them not to be naughty. A sharp axe-blade to the forehead usually does the trick... :)

@Ares2382
Rosh is going to love it. Love it!! He'll say there for several days, I think. Zar, on the other hand, wanted to free the slaves, as well as the dancers.

That club in Suran gets even more interesting if you have either "Better Bodies" or "Smoother Bodies" installed :p
Now too bad they don't have any male dancers, it would please my moderately naughty female Bosmer no end :D

@TGH: so your character has absolutely no problems with murdering and robbing the entire population of a small coastal village, but he can't stand the idea of joining a truly criminal guild? The great thing about SU is the seperate questlines: you can follow the second-in-command who wants the real power, the power of the streets, or you can join the leader of the faction (a 1000-year old vampire) and do things like eating human flesh with your Dagoth friends.
