Does anyone have a list of the research and associated skill min/max requirements for the various tomes? Sorry if this has been posted before but I haven't found anything on the forum or the walkthrough/equipment stats. Thanks a bunch!

what it adds(what skill level is needed) what research is needed
if it says (0 or 1) or (2 or 3) it means you can use the book at either skill level.
P.s. try selling books to a vendor and see if you can buy the book twice.

I was laying in the bath this morning thinking that I ought to write down those very same stats so that I could optimise my use of XP.

well done that person for saving me the trouble.

It might also be helpful for the trainers to be listed in this thread - e.g. Nines and Beckett.

I still can't seem to get Beckett to train me up - I reckon that I keep exceeding his teaching capacity. I followed the correct dialogue options and still got no training - yet the first couple of times he trained me up.

Nines is willing to train you twice - once if you ask him for any advice and the other if you ask if he has learned much survivng in LA.

Nines:
teaches brawl 1,2 or 3
teaches melee 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

Beckett is a bit shaky since I've not played as a gangrel yet.

Beckett
Several places
Warehouse, teaches gangrel protean if protean < 3, else animalism (if < 3)
Museum, scholarship 1, 2 or 3.
The last is a guess:
After Leopold chance to up one skill you have high or get a free point of xp with good persuasion.

Fat Larry
Finance 1 or 2

Thanks a million! Just thought I'd add that Fat Larry in Downtown can give you an added rank in Finance. Once you buy a weapon from him exit and talk to him again to get the Traffik quest. During that dialog you can get a persuade option near the end that says you want a bigger cut of the cash. Upon completing the quest you will gain a rank in Finance. I'm not sure what the min/max stats are to get this. I had a Persuasion total of 5 and a Finance rank of Zero. There is another post in this forum about the Beckett training stuff. last time i played, i managed to get scholarship stats increase in museum from becket from 4 to 5, which saves quite an xp, i had saved around 25xp before i talked to him, he increased the stat so i reloaded to see how far he will go and he got it to lvl5, guess you need to spen xp in scholarship just before talking to him

it could work if the relevant information regarding your stats there is queried in the same way as when you try to talk to Knox in the Asylum.

I haven't seen this anywhere but I am pretty sure Romero gave me a ranged stats increase. Gonna try for it again this time through.
