Necromancer, latin for 'Deathbringer' can be acheived when sacraficing 10 - 15 people at the chapel of Skorm (depending on your alignment). Bring 15 just to be extra careful.

thats BS necromancer doesnt mean deathbringer.

necro : death, dead bodies corpses
mancer : magic, wizard, etc
necromancer means "death wizard" or "death mage"
a mage that studies dead bodies, how to become immortal, and to get information of future events from dead people.

Avatar is the embodiment of a divine being into a human.

sacrifices...

in my last game i was +100 Evil, sacrificed at least 50 villagers trying to get Skorm's Bow (didn't know about the Merc in Oakvale) and didn't get the "Necromancer" title =\

weird, i seem to have things happening that most people don't get in their games! White Balverines staying as Oakvale Guards, Moonlit Tunnel Door not being open near start of game... and stuff like that =|

sacrifices continued...

bah, just had a thought...

it might've helped if i actually sacrificed them at the correct time =| they were mostly during the day i think...

this is before i knew how to do the Chapel of Skorm Quest, mind you! =P

I found the easiest way to get the gift of life/skorm's bow/necromancer title is to even your allignment out to zero with armor and tatoos and bring mercs and any NPCs you can at exactly midnight. When it takes money from you and the arrow looks like it is at 11:50 or so (screwed me over more than a few times) sacrifice everyone you have with you. You will get many more points, and maybe that wannabe sorcerer won't insult you like he does every other time. :)

Ihave gotten the necromancer title several times and the best way i found to do it is to become completely good and take 2 mercs to the chapel with you sacrifice one at midnite and on at 6 am. You may want to pick the mercs up at different times to lose the least amount of money. But this works for me every time

P.S. You should get skorm's bow in the process

Necromancy - Necro means death (like necrosis/necrophillia) mancy revers to magic. Necromancy is the control of the dead by magic...

Necromancy is divination by raising the spirits of the dead. The word derives from the Greek necros "dead" and manteia "divination". It has a subsidiary meaning reflected in an alternative and archaic form of the word, nigromancy, (a folk etymology using Latin niger, "black") in which the magical force of "dark powers" is gained from or by acting upon corpses. A practitioner of necromancy is a necromancer.
