I have problems with joining in IWD 2 mp games

I have a question to ask and here it comes..

I am not able to join in my friends TCP/IP games even i have correct IP. It says cannot connect to server. Do you have experience about this sort of problems?
This problem really pisses me off when i think how much and what sort of fun i lose every day

But as for playing online..i dont know how to play online.. even that there has been quite many threads for this topic.

But your problem could that you have different versiosn of the game.. or ''the host'' or ''server'' dont have enough player slots.

Could it be one of these?

Damned, we're encountering the same problem with BG2, too! Haven't solved it yet , but chances are that the router settings are incorrect (if you're behind one, all the ports should be opened), or maybe your firewall is blocking the access.

It is just something about my name... becuse if you translate english word EGG in to Finnish it would ''kananmuna'' but more used form of it is ''muna'' and that thing has two meanings.. one is egg and other is penis.. so i dont want that people will understand my name as wrath of penis.. becuse it is wrath of egg.. I am sure you understood my point.

Well... Atleast version is right (2.01) with all of us. How i can change router or what did u mean? Everything should be ok. And when i am trying to host, my friends can join there, but they get "kicked" after a short time. I don't even understand this sort of problem.. ^^

And yes egg, i understood the meaning of your nick..

I inactivated firewall, but it didn't work. My friends have hard drive firewall or something like that they say.

Wrath, yeah, I can see your point... But that's what PM is for Please don't use any language other than English in public posts, b/c the rest of the other useres don't understand that. Thanks

Thank you Brynn, i really appreciate your help and your helpful attitude towards other people. I hope GB can find out something what could help with my and maybe some other ppls problems too

Problem forwarded to the Tech Forum

You must open TCP and UDP ports 2300-2400 and TCP ports 47624-49672. I found it on one website cause we had the same problem cause my friend had a nat setting in her ADSL box and could not connect to my game. There was one site that had only one port that had to be open for the game to work but I can not remember it. It is the same as for BGII.. if that helps. Make a google search if you don't want to open all those ports.
