New Ways to Travel

If you could make a new mod or something, how would you make a new way to travel. (Like the boat travel or something)

I would make a dragon travel, that could bring you anywhere, but it would only be available once you complete all the Temple missions, because Vivic is the only one with access to it.

That's my idea, how about yours?

thats what i would want too, a dragon. but since when you complete the imerial legion missions your rank is "knight of the imperial dragon" it would be cool to get it for that also :D

other then those, riding a lion or a big wolf would be cool

There's a mod that offers dragon travel: Lord of the Dragons. Can't say I've tried it, though.

Yes, that's the one--thanks for mentioning the link, DW. I've been thinking of trying his Flying Carpet mod for some time, but with all the others waiting in line (I'm on Booty Island at the moment), it's likely to be after Oblivion's appearance before I get to it.

No worries Fable. I suppose this probably belongs in the thread you posted on the subject, but how are you finding Booty Island? I downloaded it the other day, but I have yet to install it. After my last game where I ended up having to completely reinstall, I've gotten very cautious about installing too many mods at a time.

wow that dragon mod is AWESOME!

the controls are a little like that pegas ranch thing, but you can have the dragon shoot fire and it levels up when u use it so u dont need to bother with that breeding business. the little story line is pathetic and the battle was really tough, but well worth it!

EDIT: is there a way to cheat and make the dragon level up to 100 right away? i dont want to wait to have a fast dragon

I understand what you mean. At the moment I can save MW easily enough, but when I try to quit, it freezes on me. Not sure which conflict is doing it. I'm removing a mod or two at a time, testing it out, and putting 'em back. As for Booty Island, I like it quite a bit, though I admit the idea of Carribean pirates in MW leaves me a bit queasy. The quests are well-constructed, the personalities are interesting, and the rich objects set was used for landscapes and furniture--so the stuff looks very good. The challenges are nicely varied, and (as usual with JOG's stuff) there's an element of humor, as well.

Raumoheru, I've always felt MW should have some animated form of travel, and I remember how disappointed I was when I boarded my first silt strider only to find out it was a fade-to-black. Glad the dragon's working out for you. Personally, I'm looking forward to Pegasus Ranch, but that's behind several other mods, at the moment. ;)

it shoots a fireball but that is really hard to aim. other then that it doesnt make a difference, save for an enjoyable way to travel :)

There is also dragon riding service.. similar to silt strider thing. But those dragons are hard/fun (atleast on lower levels, without kill in one blow stuff) to kill. Dragons in that plugin are quite similar to ones in NWN.

for the Lord of the Dragons mod, it says you level the more you use it. so before i went to bed last night i just let the dragon fly into a building (like the classic "set auto-run and run into a wall to train athletics") and now he is level 46. flying with him feels similar to using the Windwalker Scroll :D

but since this takes a lot of time and i dont want to work for it, can someone tell me possible console commands that will boost his level?
