saving misc items for TOB

I'm currently playing Shadows of Amn again and have not gone into TOB yet. Does anyone have any note worthy items (Books, keys, etc.) that I should save for TOB from Shadows of Amn? Saverok's Sword?
P.S
I will bring along corsomyr and flail of Ages and other obvious magical items. I'm looking for less obvious items that I may miss otherwise.
Thanks

the one item i wish i brought but didn't was the ring of invisibility. (it's an ingredient for a constructed item, ring of air control which is much better won't work)
& stock up on all the rod's of ressurection you can.
9th level spell scrolls, common potions (genius, xtra healing, master thieving)
edit -
also if you are playing a thief you can abuse the hell out of all npc specific gear.
(valygar's armour & jan's flashers, bracers & spectroscopes)

Thanks for the info. I will make sure I repurchase the ring of invisibility from the shop which I sold it to in Shadows of Amn.
I take it that there are not many shops in TOB where I will be able to buy those other items readily? I definitely use those items that you mention I should have.

Not sure wether or not Saervok is equiped when you get him, so i'm keeping Gorgon plate +4, Soul Reaver +4, and a bastard sword +3.

What about his former two handed sword (the chaos sword)? I remember that people wanted to take that sword into TOB to see if it becomes more powerful when they take saravok into their group. Is that sword worth bringing along for shadows of amn to TOB?

Not really. I have heard that it doesn't do anything different, because Saraevok was killed and all that good stuff. You can try it though, but I would rather save my slots up for something else.

Bring over the golden and silver pantaloons. Then find the bronze pantaloons in TOB.

A little too late for the pantaloons, I did not pick the first set in Baldur's gate 1.

You could always CLUA-in the Golden panties, but that is sorta cheating, unless of course you did pick them up in BG1 but didn't bother to bring them to BG2/ToB.

Would you have the codes for the Pantaloons?
The other reason why I started from shadows of Amn instead of BG1, is that I wanted to utilize the kits.

If you are still doing SoA w/ ToB installed and move your items to the Watcher's Keep first floor for storage. Will they still be there when you move from SoA to ToB, or will they just disappear?
Since the Watcher's keep is viewable on both maps, I am assuming that what ever you leave there should stay there...

To Gecko:
I would agree with your logic that items will stay from Shadows of Amn to TOB. If that is the case Watcher's keep beforehand and after should be the same (in terms of format with plots and monsters). However I do not know for sure as I have not entered watchers keep yet from shadows of Amn.

Thanks Lorsadan. I appreciate the quick response.
Well, I guess I'll try it this weekend. Store some stuff there and see what happens. I'm in SoA, near the end, but want to clean up all the quests before I go to ToB. In theory it should work, since they still use the same map... hopefully that is.

dont forget a ring of fire resistance or the bladesinger chain.
the cloak of protection +2 can also be upgraded
and cespenar will take these scrolls
invisibility, improved haste and protection from normal weapons for use in upgrading.

Hmmm, Now the question is how much of a gambler are you?
I would go to all the shops in shadows of Amn and get potions, rod of resurrections, and other items that people had suggested. Then I would save the game under a separate file once I store the items in watchers keep in shadows of Amn. Then quickly head into TOB (by exporting your saved game?), and access watchers keep from there to see if the items are still there.
Or better yet just store one or two items first in watchers keep from shadows of Amn and head into TOB (just in case the items disappear. If the items do not disappear then I would go back to the saved copy of the shadows of amn game and then go shopping for items.

All Those goodies to bring! It makes me feel like a kid again who is about to pack just before heading off on a one week camping trip away from the family.
So not many friendly merchants/ shops in TOB?

there is several...theres a wizard who sell loads of scrolls in saradush...including ALL 9th level spells..which INCLUDES imprison..the most cheesy overpowered spell
