My current party is as such:
PC R/C
Imoen
Jahiera
Khalid
Minsc
Dynahier

So my question is this; how exactly do my points get distributed? If I get 600 exp, does it go 100 to each character, meaning each class in my R/C gets 50 and each class for Jahiera gets 50, or does it get spread evenly between all classes, meaning Imoen gets 75, Minsc gets 75, each of my PC's classes gets 75, ect?

Each character gets 1/6 of all exp and for multi classes that portion of exp gets divided further between each class depending on if there are two or three classes in the multi. So if you gained 600 ex each character in a 6 man party would gain 100 exp and a multi-classed character such as Jaheira gains 50 exp for each of her classes.

Everything is split up nice and evenly. If you're looking to level up some NPCs faster, then drop a few party members you don't absolutely need off somewhere you can pick them up later.

That is what I thought, but you often here of people talk about having a multiclass character as having 'an extra character in the party to level up' so I was curious as to if I had assumed wrong

The character who kills the enemy doesn't get more exp than the ones that don't?
