KOTOR II Petition

An online petition has been started to convince LucasArts and Obsidian to release the scripted endings that never made it into the final version of Star Wars: KotOR II. The full text of what is being petitioned:

We believe that LucasArts and Obsidian Entertainment should restore and/or complete what was to be the originally scripted ending(s) for their recent release, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords.

A great deal of proof of this aformentioned ending has been gathered and discussed on Obsidian's spoiler forum for The Sith Lords, as well as LucasArts forums.

The Sith Lords is, even in its current state for both Xbox and PC platforms, an enjoyable game. We simply believe that said removed endgame content should be restored, to turn an enjoyable game into an award winning game, and to ensure Obsidian's and LucasArts' continued successes in the future, wether working together or on their own.

While many of us may feel that this petition is unlikely to invoke any change or action on the part of Obsidian or LucasArts regarding this matter, we feel obligated to speak up regardless. Our Hope demands it.

Meh...

It's the way they want it, I doubt they will change it. Also, because someone hacked some files and found old designer coding, doesn't mean they actually went anywhere with it. You want them, for free, to construct several scenes and give them out? I doubt that'll happen.

If it does, that is great, but I doubt it.

I signed also. Let's hope it does some good. Lucas Arts and Obsidian should do the right thing and finish the game.

I signed, but only because I want to see what they had planned, more out of curiosity than any real dis-satisfaction.

I think a lot of the people around here are making an awfully big deal over the ending which isn't nearly as bad as people are making it out to be. Sure it was a little cliff-hangerish and anit-climatic, but it was always going to be a stepping stone for KotOR III. Enjoy it for what is, not what you expected of it ;)

I have not actually finished the game yet (I just got it). Glad to hear that the ending is not that bad.

The ending isn't that bad, as long as you aren't expecting a "conclusion." It definitely seemed to be an ending that branches into a part III. Still, it snuck up on me, and I was hoping for a bit more. Pseudo-Spoiler (sort of, but not really a spoiler)...

Though, I will say I had much higher expectations for the final area(s), which were dreadfully easy and could have at least helped bring more conclusion to your companions.

Anyway, I'll sign the thing, just out of curiosity as much as anything.
