hiya everybody. starting new thread b4 i get too off topic on my other one. VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION COMING UP SO PAY ATTENTION. whats ur fav. portrait, or soundset, for you character?

i like the red wizard of thay portrait, even tho i am not a wizard

and i like either male fighter 5 for a voice, it adds a little comedy

I like the female portrait with the golden armor/breastplate and staff + a sour look. I also like the last picture for male, the one with the barbarian in the fog, with an animal head on top of his own, that one is really cool.

I like the soundset for male with the guy that says: "Here I come, and the hells come with me!" The woman that say "I shall slay you all" is also really awsome. (too bad she never says that ingame )

I have special portrait created by another GB member. I really like it, b/c it's made from one of my own photos, so it's actually my face in a IWD-like interpretation . That's what I use for my lead char (who is always a human mage goddess )

There's another one I really like but all I know is that the portrait's name is Rose. There's a series of portraits of famous actors/actresses (even Orlando Bloom is there as a elf, not bad ), and this portrait was among them.

Sounds cool Brynn. Maybe I should start making fantacy based pictures instead of the common face drawings. Actually I have been thinkin about it. But my pictures would propably contain too much female nudity for most people Oh yeah and I would focus too much on just the female pics If I decide to give it a try I'll let you know and ask what you think. I always laugh when I hear the male stupid voice saying "Easy as... something".

I made a few portraits from Drizzt pictures for BG2. It's not too hard with photoshop. I bet those pictures were made with photoshop too. Easy but cool. Although I would prefer painted pictures. The portraits in IWD2 are the coolest I have seen. I wonder who's the artist that made those. Much better and darker than BG2 portraits.

A pity that those who made the original portraits for the game didn't do more... They could open a gallery or sg, I'm sure everybody would be crazy to get more of their artwork...

Yeah I most definitely would. The storyline screens are also so cool. If you want to check out some cool fantasy art paintings search for Boris Valleyo or Luis Royo. You can make your own portraits from their paintings with photoshop or some other graphical program. You could add yourself there too, but my own roleplay feeling would suffer if I would put my own picture there It would be interesting to see your picture Brynn

Me, my favorite sound sets vary upon the characters. For instance, I like to use the Male #2 soundset for my Aasimar Paladin ("Gods, grant me strength.")

For my Shield Dwarf Fighter, I can't get enough of Fighter4 ("Ah'll wash me beard in yer blood!")

For my Half-Orc Barbarian, what else but Barbarian male? ("RAAAAGH!!")

For my Cleric (who's always female), I like (IIRC) Female #2 ("Your time draws near.")

For my Halfling Rogue, Rogue2 ("I'll take care if it.")

For my Drow Wizard, the male drow soundset. Unfortunately I have trouble writing Drow and there's only one soundset, so it might more or less be a waste to write a sample of it.

I remember though, at one point I was using a female Moon Elf Wizard with the female sorcerer soundset. Quite an excited sounded one, I'd say. ("Victory is ours for the taking!")


As far as portraits go, I prefer to use the one of the golden-eyed, blonde-haired guy for my Pally, the Dwarf w/ the battle axe and wooden shield for my Dwarf Fighter, the tall guy with the dark skin, sword and helmet for my Barb. For my Cleric, I prefer to use that blonde-haired one in blue silk and brown leather garments. For my Rogue, the green-hooded halfling w/ a dagger in each hand, blade pointed down. Finally, I preferred the male drow with the long hair and the dark open robe for my wizard.
