Dual classing Monk(?)

I'm playing through bg2 for the first time, but I have soon finished it, so I have started to think about playing through it again. Now I have a LN mage, but he has become a little to goody-goody, so the next time I play it's going to be an evil Monk.

And here comes my question: would it be better to dual class to monk from a kensai(at lvl 9 or when? i think there was some bonus you stopped receiving at that lvl) so i could have grand master (+++++)in long sword (bastard sword if the monk class doesnt stopp that), and +++ in singel weapon. Also, would my monk be able to dual wield?
Reading through the manual i think this combination is (if its possible) one of the more powerfull ones... :D
Anyone that tried this combo or have any good advice?

confirmed, a monk cannot dual class, nor can he dual-wield.

Dammit!
You know the reason? maybe the character would become way too powerfull..
since monk isn't a kit, but a own class, i think you should be able to dual into it, but appearantly not :(

well, thanx anyway

Can't dual wield because of balance issues with their already high number of attacks.

Can't dual class because you can only dual class to valid multiclass combinations in the BG series. Other combinations have not been implemented.
