Datable warning?

This is my second time playing the game (as a female ventrue) and the infamous lag has increased. As I was lagging around in Chinatown, I popped up the console and this line kept running over and over:

Datatable Warning:Out-of-range value (2.000000) in SendPropFloat 'm_flPoseParameter[0]', clamping

I loaded an earlier game where I was a female malk, right before the big boom at the sabbat warehouse in Santa Monica. Popped up the console and guess what? There, the line isn't running.

I re-installed the game and it seemed to run smoother until I had the great misfortune of falling into the pool at the italian dinner quest. After that the game was nearly unplayable. And the same line with the Datatable warning kept running.

Does the code have to do with the lag?

Very possibly so, for you, at least. It's constantly encountering a data bug, processing it over and over, and pointing out that it can't make use of the value. That's going to have an effect on actual gameplay at some point, too.

I hope the developers get out another bugfix, and soon.

I'm a bit over not seeing future patches since Troika games faced "final death". You think they'll release a patch anyway?

Terrible old lags

after one of the big boys in the warrens hit me with goo - and another followed up soon after - the effect just didn't seem to wear off and I now find that my character has intermittant slow-down. it was never happening before. I have moved areas, I have saved and reloaded - etc

its a shame. needs a patch...

"dataTable warning: Out-of-range value...error"

To anyone who is interested, a work around for this error is to drop the console (assuming you've enabled it) and use the command "clear" to clear the error log. It will of course keep filling up so you'll have to do it each time you start to notice some lag but it beats not being able to play at all.

So, if not a cache issue, at least an issue that can be temporarily remedied by releasing various game caches. Interesting.
