(Spoiler, sort of)
35 something hours and still playing... but just arrived on Malachor V
keep having to run from planet to planet trying without much success to complete the sidequests (like the assign the freighters on Nar Shadaa which I can never complete because it says that blah blah blah is restricted to Fassa, even though I got the quest from him)
hope other people are having better luck than I am

I'd say its about a 35-50 hour game, depending on how much time you spend on the mini-games (though even those are made "quicker" in II) and exploring/NPC interaction. So, I'd consider 28 hours a much faster pace than I like playing the game the first time through.
For Fassa, check the Gamebanshee walthrough. He's important for a number of Nar Shadda quests.
I stopped looking at the time because it just made me sad.
sad because you knew the game was coming to an end soon? or sad because you actually played it that long?
I personally started getting sad when I got past hour # 25....I knew the end was coming soon and I didnt want it to end.

That side-quest of Fassa's is bugged. You need to ask him directly and have him tell about that quest before you receive any others from him. Otherwise it will appear in your journal, but since Fassa didn't "actually" give it to you, your access will still be restricted.
Took me around 35 hours first time through. Should be quicker this time round obviously, some very annoying areas in the game - Malachor V for example, where you have no idea where certain path branches go, and in trying to explore it all methodically ended up back-tracking to the extreme.
