Dantooine: THIS LEVEL IS KILLING ME! (SPOILER!)

Hey, fellow Sith/poncy Jedi, I have a problem on Dantooine. It is thus: In the Khoonda Plains sub-area, my game seems to go all jerky as I walk around. (Or run. Why does everyone run in this game? Anyway, back to relevant stuff!) Everything slows down, and my characters run in the wrong direction, everything I do takes several seconds to happen (usually in the wrong direction and always jerkily), and occasionally whoever I am using as the Party Leader takes a giant leap and strangely appears several metres away, directly through any walls etc that might be in the way. It returns to normal if I alt-tab to another program then return, and occasionally if I change Party Leader, but it is really starting to ruin my game, seeing as I can't do anything. Has anyone had a similar experience, or even know how to get rid of the problem? Thanks for your time.
