Yes
Actually they both can become Jedi. In fact everyone except Mandalore, Hanharr, and the droids become Jedi.

Do you have to get their influence really high then? And Mira only comes if your a light jedi doesn't she?

Yes for Mira also. But she is hard to gain influence with. As I said in one of these other threads, everyone can become a jedi except for Mandalore, Hanharr, and the droids.

Mira's probably the easiest to gain influence with since it's all conversation and you don't really have to wait for any events (other than being in the right place). The first thing I did after she joined the party was talk her up and then train her.

Yeah, you can make Mira a Jedi as soon as you get her (after completing Nar Shaddaa), simply by talking to her on the ship and getting some light side points. When you see you can make her a Jedi (or so it looks...) return to Nar Shaddaa and you can train her there.

I wonder, though...
can you gain influence with Mira outside of her conversation paths? I can't seem to get enough influence to go into her history with Hanharr, which I need to get enough influence to get her to jediify.
I think this might have to do with Awareness, and how I might not have had enough of it to figure out how to make her mad while talking about her "family"

Oh, yes. You can generally gain influence with her like you do with the others, saving people's lives and such, but she also seems to like staying out of things (for example with the revolt on Onderon)

Mira is indeed easy to gain influence with. Also some headgear boosts awareness and wisdom boosting items can raise awareness too. Just outfit enough to get 11 awareness and talk away. Pursue the conversation about why she does not kill her targets and you are good to go.
The developers did shortchange her stats though (which is rather unfair to her). But even with that, she is a very good blaster wielding Jedi. But this doesn't mean you have to build her that way. Just that she is set up to favor that route.
