Roleplaying Wild Mages

So, with a roll of 75 how would you distribute your points to true roleplay.
Bear in mind that the manual says, and I quote,
"The Wild Mages that I have met exhibit a startling disregard for common sense and are often meddling with powers far beyond their own control."
In my opinion this means a low Wisdom.
Please reply I'm interested in peoples opinions. People who have played Wild Mages can also post their opinions of the class.

i am fixing to do an entire magic party, and oen of them will be a wild mage and i agree with your assessment. i would say a low wisdom, very high intelligence, and i would say a high consitution since they have probably been raised to be pretty tough from constant exposure to effects their whole lives.

The worst part is giving him a low dexterity, but it must be done...(if you`re truly roleplaying, that is)

I think they could whatever stats they want, but would waste spells, or over use them, or not use the proper ones, just because they could.

I suspect they would drool a lot.

Why would they do something every one does?

Roleplay like you belong in Spellhold. I personall have an affectation for Wanev's archetype.

Hmm.... Drooling mage in the middle of an easily escapable prison buit to house Wizards.... Sounds like a perfect vacation!

I've got a wild mage at the moment. He's so much fun!

Nahals Reckless Dweomer is my favourite spell! Who needs to memorise those spells you use every so often, like clairvoyance. Just use the reckless dweomer and done
My wild mage has Xzar's portrait. Quite fitting methinks

OK good, some good opinions, I like the drool bit.
@Aegis. Why did you say give them any stats they want? If you give them INT of 18, DEX of 18, that leaves you with 39. Give them 16 STR, you have 23 to give WIS and CHA, you have 11 for one and 12 for the other. Some people might do it different for example the CHA low due to Ring of Human Influence but that is not roleplaying.
Any opinions of my assessment?

@ nippy
Just got to point out that you left con out. how much con is needed i don't know have not played a wild mage yet

Go for 16 constitution. No more is needed.

OK that leaves you with 23 for WIS and CHAR. IMO this is a very poor. You give the mage a high charisma e.g. 16, your wisdom is 7. I admit for all intents and purposes not a bad score but what about spells like wish etc?

Ok... topic says
Roleplaying Wild Mages which by my definition would mean that a low wisdom score would be a requirement. 10 would be sufficient. Leaving you with 13 for charisma. Not bad. If you want to increase that, take some away from strength. Since when does a mage need 16 strength??????

My current Wild Mage stats:
Strength: 12
Dexterity: 18
Constitution: 16
Intelligence: 18
Wisdom: 10
Charisma: 14
Total = 88
When it comes around to wish, I just drink a potion of clarity (or whatever it's called)which grants 18 wisdom.

They are good roleplaying scores Veh. They actually do go with the Mages strengths and weaknesses.

With all that drool, their charisma is bound to go down

@Vehemence, I don't know why a Wild Mage would be required to have a low Wisdom score. Maybe one WM would figure that in the end, all spells are controlled to a good purpose--or a bad one--and that chaos was therefore part of The Plan. Such a WM might have a very structured, lucid viewpoint of the universe, whether you agreed with 'em or not.
And as for the drool, they could always use a robe sleeve.

@ Fable
"The Robe Sleeve of Drool Wiping + 5"
"This powerful magic item has the ability to wipe off the most caustic of drool from a Wild Mages chin. It is said that you can improve the potency of this item by including Aloe Vera..."
Regards to your Wisdom comment, IMHO to tamper with dangerous magic that could turn you into a squirrel you have to be a little unwise...
