OK, going through the game the first time, i managed to get a full party, but still managed to miss out on recruiting the Handmaiden. i was obviously too eager to leave and missed her. All i was wanting to know, is if she joined me, who would i miss out on?

You only get the handmaiden if your you are a guy. If you are a girl you get
Disciple instead.
