Heather's Eyes SPOILER

I've just had Heather bring me dinner, and then tell me she is worried that someone was following here. Through this conversation her eyes were first yellow, then the right changed to (normal/as before?) black. Is this some sort of progression you get in the ghouling process?

Part of what I think the developers are wanting you to see in Heather's development is the manner in which she is becoming more and more bound to the player character.
In theory, a ghoul - like anything else - becomes blood bound to a vampire after three drinks of their blood. Moreover, they'll become addicted to the blood often nearly immedately. Heather is no exception. Your interactions with her, as the game progresses, show her falling further into this "fatal addiction" and its subsequent blood bond. The eye sight shift you're noticing may be a further graphical testimony to this.
However, there aren't many actual affects of this. Meaning, Heather doesn't become more powerful or useful in a way that is immediately noticeable to you. Keeping her around, however, will net you more gifts and entertainment as the game progresses. You can check the walkthrough for exactly what these are, if you are wanting that information.

Thanks for that. It's definitely something to do with the ghouling process. Cam home recently to have Heather talk to me with dark eyes, letting me know that she needs me to renew our connection. Job done, eyes yellow again.

I might be mistaken but I thought the blood bond was between Kindred only and that ghouls faithfully serve their masters.
just on a side note ofcourse...

Nope, ANYONE who drinks a vampires blood three times on three sperate nights is 100% fully loyal to that vampire.. Like it or not. Observe!
Drink number 1: If you slip it in their coffee, force it down their throat at gun point or drip it onto their lips as they sleep, the first taste of viate is step number 1 towards oblivion. The person starts to think of the vampire, the way a very good friend might think of you when your sick.. Where are they now? What are they doing? Are they okay? The person might even start hangging out at places they think the vampire might show up.. The coolest night club? That cafe they met them at? A place in the park they mentioned being fond of? Like a true friend, they will do things you ask them... But nothing that would blow their life out of the water or hurt them at first.. Of course, this is still subject to other emotoins. Maybe they still hate you, and seek you out, but can't help feeling drawn to you each time. Maybe it's sexual, and your dangerouse and new and intersting.. Maybe you saved their life and they are already in love with you, and the first step of the bond just makes it that much more obssesive and clinggy.
Drink number 2: At this stage, the emotoin becomes a strong, dark, twisted version of love. Beyond maybe suicide (and maybe not even that) the person is pretty much the vampires pet. They will come when you call, they will jump when you clap, they want you.. They want only to be speical and good in your eyes and they'll do anything you want to make that happen. Like a puppy or a virgin, the person is eger to please in anyway.
Drink number 3: Total emotoinal slavery. While the person is still capable of independant thought, falling in REAL love with other people, hating the vampire in question, whatever they want... Their will is totaly bound to the vampires. Suicide, for a person three times blood bound, is just another way of proving their devotoin. This isn't limited to humans... Animals, Mages, some unlucky werewolves.. Anything that can drink and stomach vampire blood and isn't protected in some way from it's effects can find themselves enslaved and addicted.. And from then on, their life belongs to the vampire.
How is a ghoul different from a Thrall?: Thralling someone just requires three "tastes of viate".. In other words, all the victim needs to do is taste the vampires blood. Obviously, when spiking a coffee, you'll need a bit more for them to actualy taste the blood, but otherwise, just a single drop on the tongue is fine. To make a ghoul, you need to infuse the body with the power of blood. A full "Blood Point" needs to be given to the ghoul.. This is used to extend their life (eternaly if you keep feeding them), grant them stronger bodies, freedome from disease, powers beyond human understanding.. And of course eternal slavery to the dammed. Boo hoo!

if you're a Malkavian, the first time you talk to her in your home she starts showing some signs of insanity, e.g. tapping her foot three thousand times while waiting for you. later, she starts rambling in that exquisite Malkavian way, and it just gets better and better...
