Patch/Mod that adds in Joluv?

Okay, so the official SoA/ToB patch is a must, and I don't mind having Dierdre in the Adventurer's Mart. The one thing is, I have been curious about how to get Joluv into the game since I don't have the specific edition of SoA that he's is installed with. I swear I heard of something official or whatnot that adds BOTH bonus merchants. I checked the sticky threads and, unfortunately, no dice. :(

Anyways, I got some questions concerning this.
1) Any compatibility problems with such a fix and the official patch? I'd just hate to have the game screw up on me, or that I have to start a new game to have this work right.

2) Above all else, can someone provide a link to the patch/fix?

There are a few places. Here's one -

It's under the BG2 Bonus Merchants link. Obviously, you'll end up downloading both merchants. They tend to be packaged together.

There shouldn't be any complications, as they both just go in your override directory.

You can get the bonus merchants right here :

I play on a Mac, and there was never a special edition released for macusers. However, I have had the merchants installed for a long time without any problems.

Are there any weapons to be purchased off of Joluv that people find particularly useful? I've been looking for this patch/fix for a long time, but is it worth it?

Well, he does have a +5 sling on him that doesn't require ammunition. It's expensive, but would likely be worth it's weight in gold.

Quite frankly, it wouldn't hurt to just download him and find out. It's a small download that effects nothing else, period.

However, he does have some nifty items. The "Sling of Everard" is a +5 sling with unlimited +2 ammo. It's a very handy item. Likewise, the "Katchiko Wakisachi" is a very nice katana. While only +3, it drains wisdom vs. successful hits and can be quite lethal. Likewise, the "Scarlet Ninja-To" gains an extra attack per round. The "Staff of Arundel" allows magic users to memorize a couple extra spells (5th, 6th levels). There's also a mace that offers 20% resistance to physical attacks.

So, yeah, there are probably better weapons to be had. Still, he offers some nifty weapons that you can probably make use of for substantial portions of the game. The Sling, in my estimate, is the best of these. Deidre is definitely worth downloading as well. She offers some very nice items too.
