"Hidden" Ending

Howdy all,

Just a quick question. I was wondering if anyone has tried the "Hidden Ending" cheat on the KOTOR cheats page here at GameBanshee? Does it actually work? I've finished the game so many times and my saves are usually inside the doors to the final duel, or they are half-way through the battle (when I've used the Burst of Speed line of powers to run away). Just wanna know if it's worth playing through again to see another ending..

Anyone able to let me know?

Thanks in advance,

chemicalNova

Please don't bump threads. That's not permitted in these forums. If someone hasn't answered a question like yours, it's because they haven't tried the option you're aksing about.

It seems commonsense that if an ending can only be achieved by a cheat, it isn't worth playing again to see, since you haven't really achieved anything when you get it. But that's up to you. I've never seen it, and I've no interest in it.

Do you mean the ending that involves using two controllers to walk into the last fight? I have done it, and I don't think it is worth replaying the game for. Spoilers:

A scene plays in which your character confronts Malak and he is transformed into a tweilek cantina dancer. You both dance for a moment, then the end of the game proceeds. No final fight, just a silly cutscene.

The hidden ending is pretty dumb.

Ok, thanks for the replies.

@ Fable: Erm, I'm sorry I didn't know that. Your last statement in your first paragraph has now been proven wrong.. I'm not being a "smart-alleck", but it usually does work. I won't do it again though.

Secondly, the "cheat" isn't really a cheat as such. As stated on the page here at gamebanshee, you must get right to the very end of the game, in order to perform the task.

Again, I apologize for bumping the thread.

How? "If someone hasn't answered a question like yours, it's because they haven't tried the option you're asking about." So when someone *did* finally answer you, it was because they'd tried it. I don't see the contradiction.

I'm not being a "smart-alleck", but it usually does work.

Not here, bumping doesn't. We've suspended the membership of people who do that chronically, and I know at least three boards that have taken the same attitude. Of course, other boards do allow it--but it is a major irritant, wherever it's practiced. In any case, apologies accepted.

Secondly, the "cheat" isn't really a cheat as such. As stated on the page here at gamebanshee, you must get right to the very end of the game, in order to perform the task.

Then if it isn't a cheat, you shouldn't have called it that in your first post: "Just a quick question. I was wondering if anyone has tried the "Hidden Ending" cheat on the KOTOR cheats page here at GameBanshee?" I tend to agree with that original post of yours: it is a cheat , because it can only be invoked with commands that lie outside the standard game interface created by the developers. Whether a given cheat does anything useful or not is an entirely different matter. ;)

In any case, welcome to GameBanshee. Hope you enjoy your stay, and be sure to check out our spam forum, SYM (Speak Your Mind)!
