Ok I am on my way to kill Ming Xiao and am in the temple at the doors in the water wheel room. but it won't let me move the wooden bar that is across the door. the ison for it shows up but hitting e does nothing. any ideas how to get past this? I would hate to have to give up cause of bug. oh btw i do have the patch too.

ok i have read every forum that "fixes" door and none work. not attacking it, not pushing w instead of e, not reloading, not restarting my PC, had no idea what noclip was so couldn't try that one. man if you know please tell me.

This is one of the more annoying problems in the game (of the so-close-yet-so-far variety). As a last resort, do a search for Bloodlines Cheats. Get the console up and running and get the disable clipping command. Disable clipping; go through door; enable clipping.

apparently i didn't even need to use the cheat just opening the console scare the life out of the door. lol finally got it without even putting in the cheat code. thank you soo much.

I believe you open that door by walking into the handle on the right end of the beam, thereby pushing it off the door.

Or is that what you tried to do? I patched the game as soon as I got it, so I didn't encounter any bugs (though I did hate that level).

erratic

from my experience and others on here, this problem is erratic - sometimes the bar moves when you lean against it, sometimes it will not. saving and loading fixes it for most people, but we all have our pet theories.
