Does Improved Invisibility allow me to backstab multiple times? What's up with that Cloak of Non-detection? From which spells does it protect me?

if you are using your stealth ability, the cloak of non detection will prevent any detection (as long as your stealth is high enough) even true sight will not spot you.)

don't know about the invisibility, what i do know is this - if you try to sneak up on a mage w/ invisibility, they know, and will cast ts which will give you away, cloak or no.

and a bit of advice, the 15 pts assassins get / level is real tight, you don't have any points to waste.

as for playing an assassin:

- put alot points in: Hide in Shadows, Move Silently, Set traps (real handy against golems) and (when hide is high enough) Detect Illusion.

- get the Celestial Fury and make sure u put a weapon prof. point in scimaltars.
It does good backstabs.
Dual weild it with Daystar (later cutthrout and blackrazor) and u have a great way of dealing dammage.
i used this combo and its really good, much dammage vs.undead + change of electricity damage and a change of stunning.
i mean look ad it it really is great.

- buy a lot of potion of invis. good for backstabbing a second time.

- get the boots of speed and the gift of the night armor or black dragon armor.
it depends what u like better, Hide in Shadow bonus or prot. from acid.
the boots are good for backstabbing, running away, hiding and backstab again.
i works great i killed the entire mind flayer area in the sewers this way.
