Finished Quests that show unfinished

I have finished several quests like the theifs guild and the hunt for Valygar Corthala and others andmy journal doesn't show them complete. Is there help anywhere to show you what to do when you seem stuck.

I know a couple of quests refused to be finished for me. If you are certain they are complete, you can remove them by double-clicking the entry, and then selecting all text and deleting it.
But just remember, once deleted, you cannot get the entry back.

Are you 100% sure they're complete? I've had this happen where I thought I'd finished a quest, in that I'd killed and looted everything, but it didn't go away until I'd gone to talk about it to someone involved in the plot. It also serves as a clue that there may be more quest XP waiting for you to cash in
