I've looked on NUMEROUS websites and through just about every page on this place's Walkthrough/Strategy/FAQ section but I'm still not able to find anything at all on the romace quests (I'm a guy so it has more to do with the Bastila one but oh well) I've seen a bunch of times that they initiate themselves and when I talk to her at the times when the things I did find say to do (on Taris, after Star Map 1, etc) she doesn't say anything new. I've gotten the "Where were you before you rescused me" one out of her, but nothing after that is happening and I've been wndering Taris for quite some time now (all I have left to do is go to Davik's place and take the EbonHawk but I'm assuming that cancels out a few of the convos.) Any links or help would be appreciated, cuz this is my second time through and I wanted to get everything done 100% (or as close as possible). I'm on the light side (beat it on full dark the first time)

It picks up after Dantooine. If you keep her around and talk to her often, the romance will pretty much reveal itself. I don't know of any romance guides out there.

If you are still on Taris - it's too early. In my game it happened on Kashyyyk. The dialogue options are too obvious to miss, so just talk to her often and it should happen.

Ultimate Romances Guide - minus Carth

Here's the ultimate romances guide from which i've compile every posts of the Bioware official forum on this subject , minus Carth cause you've aked for a male player & minus the little discussions of course :
Basically, there are three romanceable party members in KotOR - Carth, Bastila, and Juhani. To advance the romance threads, you must complete their respective side-quests (if you fail, the romance will break).

BASTILA
(Your character must be male.)

How to get her to like you:
Similarily, talk to her a lot, and be sure to choose the "right" dialogue options (which again, should be fairely obvious)...

NOTE: During the last conversation, Bastila will tell you to follow to a room in the Ebon Hawk so that she and you may talk privately. She will try to break the romance, but don't let her. Choosing the "Ok, I understand" option will destroy the romance. If you done it right, you should get a brief kissing scene.

Warning: Do not talk to Bastila about the romance afterwards (there will be an option for it - don't select it!!) - it will trigger a bug that will break the romance!

*You meet Bastila again on the Star Forge. It is possible to redeem her without any Persuade points provided you choose the right dialouge options (they're fairly obvious) . Here's one possible way:

During the third conversation,
1. Tell her that the Light side is stronger than the Dark side.
2. Tell her that you could never kill her.
3. Tell her to turn to the bond between you two.
4. Tell her that she can be redeemed by helping the Republic against the Sith.
5. Tell her you trust her enough to leave yourself open to attack.
6. Tell her that she could use her Battle Meditation to aid the Republic fleet.

That should do the trick...

Helena's sidequest

**SPOILERS**
When you've heard enough of Bastila's backstory, you will be approached by a twi'lek woman (forgot her name), who will tell you that Bastila's mother is ill and currently on Tatooine. Fly to Tatooine, and go to the catina in Anchorhead. Speaking with Bastila's mother, you will learn that her husband has recently died trying to obtain a Krayt Dragon Pearl, and she wants you to retrieve his holocron.

Accept the side-quest. The holocron should be in the cave where the Tatooine Star Map is (search all the placeables on the ground - the holocron should be in one of the bags)... Return the holocron to Bastila's mother, and urge Bastila to let her mother have it. Mother and daughter will be make up (rather fast, don't you think)... and mission accomplished!

JUHANI
(Your character can be of either gender.)

How to get her to like you:
Talk to her often and learn about her past. Give her encouragements and such. The options to choose should be fairly obvious (use your savoir-faire).

*If you succeed in completing the romance, Juhani will profess her feelings for you on the Temple Summit (Unknown World) - I think, after you defeat Bastila.

NOTE: It seems that Juhani has a special relationship with Belaya (a Jedi in the Dantooine Academy). If you kill her in the Grove, Belaya will leave the Jedi Academy, and you will meet her again in the Sith Academy on Korriban, where she will attack you and your party.

NOTE II: Juhani also has a special relationship with Dak Vesser, a Sith archaeologist (?) on Korriban. You meet him in the Valley of the Dark Lords. If you have Juhani in your party, you can initate a unique conversation with him. Afterwards, he will leave the scene, and you can meet him again in the catina on Dreshdale, where you can deliberately provoke a fight with him (he has a pretty nice lightsaber crystal on him if I remember correctly).

Warning: Juhani's romance thread is extremely buggy. One of the major bugs it will trigger is preventing Mika Dorin's Premium Store on Korriban from being activated - you will miss some of the best gear in the game.
Juhani love quest.

it IS possible to romance Juhani AND get the premium items. Heres how.

1/ Ignore Carth quest. You can do it up to dustil, but thats it, no further.

2/Talk to juhani up to point about her parents... when she says its too painful about her father. STOP!

3/Play game. get past Leviathon section... go to any starport. Meet the bloke who offers stuff, agree... go to korriban, talk to guy who runs drunkside.

SPECIAL ITEMS SHOP UNLOCKED

Talk to Juhani, find out about full past. Meet Xor outside ship on any starport
(JUHANI MUST BE PRESENT FROM NOW ON!)

Go to another starport.

take Juhani (or quest will snap)... leave ebon. If Xor does not trigger, go to loadable section of map... enter transport, click back to ebon hawk. Xor will appear and fight.

tips-

DO NOT ALLOW ANY CHAR TO USE STASIS ON XOR. If you do, another minor bug will mean if anyone kills him, the final sequence will not trigger.

keep her from killing Xor.

Play game, ignore Carth.

On temple top. Fight Bastila, and stay LS.

let her go. Once combat is over, unlock computer. then move to leave and click on Juhani, final "I.. I love you. speech will trigger"

You can complete Carth's romance and Juhani's and still get the premium items from Mika Dorin and it's not nearly as complicated as this. Mo offense.

Talk to Carth and Juhani like you normally would, once you get to Juhani's last convo before the Leviathan just don't take her into a spaceport, you can use her in your party just don't take her into a spaceport until you've complete all your sidequests including Mika Dorin's after the Leviathan. Then complete Juhani's sidequest. However be warned that the Juhani romance is very buggy and having conversations before or after certain events can break the romance.

Okay, Here is the order you need to do this in:

Assuming you're level 11 when you leave Dantooine,

Level 11: Juhani apologizes for attacking you in the grove. Juhani tells you a little about the Jedi she met on her home world. Juhani tells you she can still feel the anger that drove her to the grove in the first place. This is three different convo's.

Level 12: Juhani tells you more about the Jedi she met "back home." And you find out she idolizes them.

Star Map 2: She tells you she feels excepted with you and is grateful for it.

Level 13: Juhani blames you and Bastila for the destruction of Taris. Talk to her again after this convo and she has another one starting "What are you thinking of?" She will respond, "Taris was my home for many years. As much as I hated it, it was still home." This is two different convo's.

Level 14: Juhani tells you more about her life on Taris and how her parents fled there.

Level 15: She tells you about the Mandalorians destroying Cathar, and her father dying at the hand of Xor(Of course she doesn't know until later that is was Xor that killed her father.) I think it's after this convo that she asks you about yourself, and tells you the council would be proud of you. Three convo's as well.

Level 16: She tells you about what happened after her father dying. How her mother starved to death and that she was sold into slavery.

Only rarely have I gotten the convo after this but it has no bearing on the temple summit convo. She tells you that it was Revan's army that freed her on Taris. This is before you get captured by the Leviathan.

There's a convo after the Leviathan that she tells you it was Revan that freed her on Taris and that she knew something was wrong when she heard the Revan had become the Dark Lord of the Sith. (Bear in mind I've never played a dark side game.)

Her side quest comes after this. (Well that's usually where I do it, because completing Juhani's side quest can cause problems with activating other party members and Mika Dorin's shop side quests.)

Then on the temple summit she will have a convo here. It will be different if you're playing as a male than a female PC.

Xor's sidequest
**SPOILERS**

After you've heard enough of Juhani's past, you will be approached by a slaver named Xor. He will initate a conversation, and Juhani will be angered. Calm her down will the Jedi Code, and you will receive LS points. Xor will then leave.

Later in the game, Xor will be back with some henchmen and pick a fight with the party. Defeat him, and he will surrender - and try to provoke Juhani. Use the Jedi Code to placate her, and you will receive LS points. Mission accomplished.

*Be warned that doing this side-quest will cause you to miss the Premium Store on Korriban.

Triggers

Now let's discuss triggers - specific locations in the game that will set off the party member sidequests. Bascially, every Starport is a potential trigger. Don't worry too much about not being able to trigger a side-quest - perhaps you just haven't learned enough about that character's backstory. However, if you think you have, just fly to another planet, and it's likely that you will be able to trigger the sidequest.

NOTE: You MUST have that character in your party!!

How to initiate NPC dialogue?

An oft asked question - "Why won't Carth/Bastila talk to me?"

Perhaps it's not time yet. These romance dialogues are triggered at specific moments. If you just can't wait for the next line of romance, here's a trick:

1. Take your romance in your party and exit the Ebon Hawk.
2. Talk to him/her - choose the romance dialogue.
3. Re-enter the Ebon Hawk.
4. Exit the Ebon Hawk again with your romance.
5. You can now activate his/her next set of romance dialogue!

I would suggest patience. It's better to have those conversations unexpectedly popping up - it feels more natural that way.
