I am trying to figure out whether the following are loose ends or whether (more likely) I didn't approach them the right way:

- The baatezu in the Curst underground. Other than information about the war machine, do they serve any other purpose?

- Kitla in Curst (the one who wants the legacies). How do I get her to train me? She kept saying I should come back later and then I got into the underground and that was that.

Any info would be appreciated!

Baatezu is just for fun. You will meet him later - he will fight with Dona Quisho's tanar'ri and you will have an opportunity to kill them both, showing them who is the Real power in the Planes.

And Kitla will only train you into mage, if you are not one.

D'Oh. You're right about the baatezu. I remember seeing it in the Outlands.

Thanks for explaining about Kitla. I played through almost the whole game as a mage, so all she had for me was a scroll (good one, though).
