could somebody tell me exactly when you hero save and quit in the arena to keep all the gold. I did it right before i had a choice to kill whisper and only got the experience.So is there a time after i let whisper live to hero save and quit and still get the money

You need to do a hero save prior to round 8. So prior to facing the giant scorpion.
