Whats the time record for escaping Peragus?

1 hour 50 minutes for me...
Includes running thru and not fighting any droids in the dormitories, and not solving any of the turbolift or sonic sensor miniquests.
I'd try to do it faster but all those stupid chats and movies.

And what's the point? Why play through a game as fast as possible, when the first part is one of the best parts?

While I don't necessarily agree that peragus is one of the best parts (for me, the game doesn't really start until you get your lightsaber, and Peragus is just in the way), I do have to side with Ergophobia. While Peragus does annoy me (just like Taris did), it sets the tone for the game, introduces characters, and gives you opportunities for much needed character level advancement. To skip out on experience points (which seems to me to be what you're describing) seems counterproductive.

I disagree, Peragus while not a bad level it just annoyed me to no end that i'm a Jedi, a jedi the sith believe to be the last one and not only do i start of with no lightsaber I have no force powers and i'm naked. Also you have very few chances to influence other or to gain ds/ls points.

I only advise it if you finished the game first.
personally i want to get to another planet and get my lightsaber on asap.
peragus can consume up to 6 hours for me.
thats 6 hours sans lightsaber.
and that is sad.

I actually found the Peragus intolerably boring even the first time through the game. I was ready for it to be over long before it was. It reminded me of Irenicus's dungeon in BG2...man, that was just grating. Anyway, I can do it in about 2 hours now, but I spent much more time on Peragus the first time through the game. I really wish there was a quicker way to Telos...
But, yes, someone who is playing the game for the first time should definitely go at a reasonable pace and not try and rush through it. The holograms are neat (and a feature I was really expecting to be there throughout the game after having so many of them in the initial part. Very odd, they stopped using them, moreorless, after Peragus) and you do get introduced to some of the key characters in the game.

1 hour 4 minutes to climb aboard the ebon hawk.
I only have about 1300 credits tho for the Telos shop.

Personally, I still really enjoy Peragus despite the fact I've been through four times up to now. As for why, I really don't know but I feel about it the same way I feel about Candlekeep in BG1, perhaps it's just the feeling that I'm setting out on a long road but by the end I'll be an awesome engine of destruction, the knowledge that there's still a whole game left to explore and a myriad cahnces to mould my charcter- whatever, the point is I like it- am I really the only one?

Well, yes. It's a bit disappointing in the ways of having little force powers and no lightsaber (and no decent clothes), but Peragus was one of the best planets story-wise, I think. Lots of depth and interesting 'conversations'.
I think a way of playing through it as fast as possible in general is useless, but a way of completing it (including all items and sidequests) IS interesting, to test out character builds and such.

i ran into a crappy bug.
just as i hit the inner airlock near hk47, i got warped to the inside of the harbinger fuel cell -- no atton. T3 wasnt in the pipe. when i finally did run to the ebon hawk, the laser gun loaded up but nothing more after that.
totally skipped the dorm levels and the harbinger (eg: no drift charts)
gahhh
and i wanted the stupid armband thingy.

Same, I only get +1 constitution.
Its too bad the item cant "level up" or get more powers throughout the game.
