Downtown bug (possible spoiler)

I have just cleaned up the Hollowbrook hotel, and am on my merry way to the Last Round. I am about to turn the corner by the primogen's house when a voice yells "Wait!" kinda like Ming Xao popped up earler. The only and major difference is that no one is around, not even a bum...so i can't walk, can't attack, can't use any disiplines, but CAN look around. I have restarted the game, my computer...i am at a total loss what is going on. This is the second time i have played through this part (i got stuck in my apartment with the bloodhunt on me with a Tremere and no blood at my disposal) last time i don't recall this happening, but am clueless as to what is going on.
