About importing the PC to BG2

Hello everybody, i've played both BG and BG2 several times, but I still have some questions about beginning BG2 from a BG1 game.
1) does anybody knows if there's some difference between importing the main character from the "CHAR1" file the game auto-exports at the end of BG1 or importing it from the "Final-Save" game?
2) [may be related to 1] When you import, does the game "remember" things you have done in BG1 or just remember your items? For example, if you kill Drizzt but don't have his items when exporting, is he still pissed off with you for killing him in BG2?
Thanks you all and sorry if my english is not very good.

I've never played BGI, but I'd assume you'd be missing out on the XP for killing the boss.
None of the dialogue options change, but you get the choice of telling him something along the lines of 'hey, didn't I kill you?' All your items will be gone at the beginning of BGII though.

There's no difference in that, but there is a difference in experience between exporting from the CHAR1 file and any other character file. If you import a character file other than CHAR1, the experience you start out with in BG2:SoA differs.
For instance, if your experience is above 8,100 (for instance, at the experience cap), then it will stay same for a non-CHAR1 character file.

When it comes to the game remembering items, the only item it will remember (if you took it with you) is the Golden Pantaloons, which are (from what I've heard) either in the painting at the very beginning of BG2: SoA, or in the chest with the Helm of Balduran. Either way, you'll find it in the beginning dungeon. Dang Irenicus and his collection agency.
As for the Drizzt thing, I'd say Goulum has pretty much summed it up.
Thanks you all and sorry if my english is not very good.
I've read worse.

But, although only those items are SUPPOSED to be transfered, you can transfer others. At the start of the game, when you are being tortured, just when the game starts and the screen is black, pause the game. Then go to your inventory and drop everything on the ground. Unpause and pick it up when you have control of your character.
Note, this only works when you have imported your character and he has items on him.

i once exported an elven ranger from bg1 to bg2, he was wearing drizzt's armor and both his scimitars (cluaconsole, i never killed him in that game) when i exported him. later on when i met drizzt in bg2, he was quite mad at me since i had stolen his equipment before. this was not the same dialogue as i've gotten in the rest of my bg2 games with charaters that didn't have his equipment on them...
in other words, if you export a charater with drizzt's equipment on him, this will be recognized by drizzt... i don't think the same thing applies if you just killed him in bg1 but i haven't tried that one...
