For female character, Anomen is only option to have a romance, but I hate the guy! I don't think,"You remind me my sister" is not a chat up line most girls fall for. Do you have any NPC to have romance instead for female character? Personally I like Volygar, because he doesn't complain much like Anomen, and especially he told us his sad past regarding his parents.

It would add another aspect to the game if you were able to:
1. pick your own romance, Anomen can be sweet, but he's a dork.
2. Get the girdle of gender change (or whatever it's called) and start hitting on girls (when you're female yourself ofcourse)
3.romance Edwina if you're male.
4. start up a homosexual relationship in the game. (not that I want any, but it'd be a first in any game I've ever seen)

i like him too. i think valygar was supposed to be a female romance npc but the programmers ran out of time. when he tells you about his parents there's an option to ask if he'd ever want to marry and have kids. he says something like "not really because of my curse but maybe if i found the right one..."

hmmmm, well

but then that's all. it might be really interesting if he was a romance and mazzy is in the group. guys have to fight haer dalis for aerie, maybe we would fight with her over valygar.

Who is Edwina? I've seen quite a few posts about this character I've never seen. No spoilers required. And Black Isle is taking heat for even allowing you to reasonably play an evil character, so do you think they could do homosexual relationships? I can't comment about the relationships with male NPC's because I play a male and always will, and playing a female would just be too weird if relationships were involved.

Anomen's "What is it now!!?" is so annoying!! But that is same as what Edwin said in BG1, I think.

in fallout 1 and 2, also made by interplay..you could get a love in modoc..and it could be straigth..gay or lesbian

Fallout II (no kinky stuff on the I), yes I remenber, my PC did a "Lesbian" Act and was force to a shortgun marrige.

I get "You magnficent B*****..." from jaheira when I get her from the Harpers. Unless.... She is lesbian.

Yes. I remenber someone talked about getting romace dialogs from him when he was playing a male charecter in the game, but that was long time ago.

Having booted anomen out of my group a while back i think i might have to go and retrieve him to see what all this romance stuff is about. i definitely agree that valygar is far foxier though.

Vixen, no you can not. If you boot a character out of the party that kills the romance(any spell that removes the character of the party also KILLS the romance, so beware of the inprison spell). not take him/her when he/she 1st ask also ruins our chances.(learn that the hard way)
But you can use cheats(dont remenber the codes) to save the situation.
