Dual-classing Questions

Post by Borsook »

Hi. I was considering making a new character and wanted to check what I could dual-class with what. First I made a Kensai and with console command game him 16000 XP I advanced the levels but dual-class button was greyed out... So I made a normal fighter, repeated everything and again could not dual-class... Mybe the console XP gain blocks it? Anyway since I can't test it the easy way I'd like to ask what kits can i use to dual class? The manual first says that dual-class characters can not have kits, than that they can have only one...

You can dual class to any class that is available as a multi-class for non-humans. As Sytze mentions there are lists available, here for instance.

But your problem is with neither the class nor the XP. Both Fighter and Kensai should be able to Dual class. You probably don't have the correct stats. In order to Dual you need 15 in the main attribute of your current class and 17 in the class you want to switch to. So for a Kensai dualed to Mage you would need 15 STR and 17 INT. For Theif it would be DEX and for Cleric/Druid it would be WIS. (I think Druid also needs CHA but I can't recall as I don't play Druids.)

You can't dual into any kit, but if a kit is your first class you can dual to anything that the non-kitted class could dual to. Also, you can't triple class even though F/M/T is available as a multi.

Here's what you need :

- To be Human

- Your alignement MUST fit your new class (Druids must be True Neutral)

- Main(s) stat(s) of primary class at 15

- Main(s) stat(s) of secondary class at 17

------
Example :

If you want to dual-class a Kensai to a Thief, you must...

Be a HUMAN with 15 Strenght and 17 Dex.

Heh. Forgot to mention those. Funny how easy it is to overlook obvious things...
