Well...it's an awesome game, especially if you like Whitewolf's Vampire theme. It's funny, scary and creepy to play. It gives ya the experience of an RPG with a great storyline, different endings and good graphics and a Shooter like Doom3.

I'd go ahead and buy it cause I was rather skeptical myself before buying it, not really much into VTM other then a casual role play on a forum based losely around VTM. But I bought it anyway and never wished I hadn't. I will say the game has some strong system requirements so you may want to read the box before buying. Its nowhere as demanding as Doom III though so no worries.

I dunno
I Doomed myself out years ago, and a friend got me back into gaming. Frankly the FPS games I find highly entertaining, and the RPGs leave me cold. I used to like them a long time ago, because they were the only thing interesting at the time. But Doom hooked me on FPS. However, I do know a number of people who like them both. Perhaps I'm a tad biased.

Well FPS games tend to give me a headache so I was very happy to be able to switch between first and third perspective in Bloodlines. I'm not really a fan of FPS and more RPG style or anything third person view based.

See, now that's a distinction I never really got. For me, Bloodlines is an FPS, despite the fact that it has a third person view. For me an RPG is something that is entirely in third person, and you don't have any direct control over your character aside from telling them where to go and what to do (ergo leave your mule here, go east and fight the bad guy, and then you just wait to see what happens). Arcanum is a good example. An FPS, on the other hand, gives you control over the character itself (move forward, open the door, talk to Jezebel, select a power and a weapon, and guide your PC's attack moment by moment). If Bloodlines were an RPG, I would expect to guide my PC into Jezebel's apartment and then just sit back and see who dies.
In other words, for me "First person" is about control, not view.
