if u r talking about light armor in general, glass is good and the darkbrotherhood is good.

Yes, I think glass armor is the best light armor you can get but I'm not positive. You can buy it in Ghostgate or just edit the toolset if you want to cheat. :( My brother hid some glass in a chest without telling me, and I ended up with a full suit.

Spoiler:

An almost full suit of glass armor can be stolen, both from the fighters guild in Ald Rhun and somewhere in Ghostgate.

Which is why I said Ghostgate. :D But can you actually steal it from there? I thought the guy just sold it. Can you tell me where to steal it? ;)

He might have meant "steal" as in "steal from their corpses after killing them". Maybe there is some in a chest somewhere, though??? :confused:

Do a search on "glass." I'm sure somebody has posted a way here in the past to steal a complete suit of glass armor from Ghostgate, but I consider it cheese, and never tried it.

Stealing is pretty simple:
1. Distract any nearby persons, so that they look away from the item you're trying to steal
2. Cast an invisibility spell
3. Sneak
4. Steal

Or just:

1) Steal;
2) Use Recall spell you set previously;
3) Return to the Thieves Guild, where you're a member, and pay to kill the price on your head.

Cheese, like I said. ;)

Wow, that's actually really smart. I've never thought of that before. ;)
Or, in the Fighter's Guild in Balmora, stand by the door that leads outside on the middle floor. The girl is standing a long way back, so it's easy to bring up your sneak. It just takes a little patience.

Playing a thief-like character is very much fun, but only when you lay off the cheese :) .
