after i fought irenicus and he ran away at the asylum, i tried to rest
everytime i did this then the imoen appears and tells me about the slayer form
after it ends and the rest movie is played, my computer shuts down
why???
i'm rather junior around here so please give help

Sounds like there is a glitch there. You might want to check out [url="http://www.avault.com"]www.avault.com[/url] they just posted a massive BG2 beta patch that seems to fix more bugs than I was aware were in the game. If that doesn't help, then don't sleep in the Asylum. after getting out, you do have a good fight on your hands but you'll have the option to rest afterwards. Just make sure you take the boat option and not the direct route to the Underdark and you'll be fine.
