Hey everone.. having a really hard time right now... this is the first time I've come across anything I couldn't take on myself so here it goes. My character is a Torreador and I'm in the Hallowbrook hotel with the Sabbat leader... The problem I'm coming across is that I get in there with the guy and he's killing me in three hits... I can't make a dent in him and it almost seems like it's not letting me fire any guns or anything???? Help! If it's a bug, it would be the first one I've come across... any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

damage limitation

just in case you want to finish the mission virtually unscathed - once the dialogue finishes, jump back up the platform by the door - the warform usually spends his time diving in and out of blood pools and running around below the platform - sometimes he runs round the back through tunnels too.

anyhow - why is there a flame-thrower on the first level? because flame-grilling that boss works real well. if you are too close, like the sheriff later, you get disarmed, but standing back from the edge, you get an easy time of shooting him. shoot him in the air or when he is running in and out of the collonade. if he stops below the platform get him there.
when I first did this boss-fight I tried melee etc - bad idea, often fatal.
the ranged powers also do good damage - suicide may not kill kindred, but it can really inflict heavy damage with little risk.

You can pick one of the torches and use them as a melee weapon - they're somewhat less effective than flamethrower but thay're still very good, especialy if you have high melee & strength (which is most gangrels and Brujah) and low firearms & perception.

torches

I hadn't noticed where you could pick one up - cheers.

I always do the swap-clothes solution, so I don't get the opportunity in saving Ash.

(the latest patch also makes them available to buy)

aggravated damage ahoy.

My Toreador had little trouble in melee with the bloody Tzmisce. Celerity 4, the occult Katana and a couple of blue blood packs and it was goodnight ugly.

If my memory serves me well

My scrap with the warform was before I ever found the T-blade.

I didn't find it the first few goes through - wasn't looking, didn't find.

Took me a while to suss out the safest surest means - i.e. ranged - it is not obvious that you can get back ot the entrance platform.

Alternative way of killing Sabbat Leader

I finished the ugly bloodsucker by crouching underneath the balcony on the right hand side (as you enter). At one moment or another (and in my case really soon) he ended up walking about on this same balcony. You pull out your colt and start sending lead in his pretty behind from right underneath him (there are enough holes in it to pull this off). And the idiot kept on blundering about on that balcony. Finished him off without taking any damage (though some damage was done before he got on top off me ;) ).
