Strength enhancing spells...

My character has strength of 26, +8 from an item... when I tried Strength of One spell, which gives +3 to strength, it had no effect.. Why is that? Shouldn´t it be 29 for duration of the spell. Or does it raise the base only and when it is already raised with eight, it has no effect anymore... If anyone knows, please tell me

if the spell gives the same type of strenght bonus as the item, it wont stack(enchantment bonus etc...).

.
only the highest stat increase has an effect - no matter from where it comes (items, spells, whatever...) !

as long that it is the same type of bonus. enchantment bonus stack with inherit(sp?) etc.

if you mean the stat modifier bonus - certainly...
stat modifier + highest bonus from whereever (item or spell)
don't mess this up with the natural AC (who stacks) but there is nothing in IWD2 that gives any natural STR boni!

Which is that object that gives you +8 to str.?
I only knew a belt that gives you +4 (+6 HoF) an amulet that gives +2 (+4? HoF) and several other jewels that add +1.

It´s the Bloody Wroth bastard sword, but I´m using the ease-of-use mod

Another questions by the way... is there any fix for the bugged impr. initiative feat? And does that Dirty Fighting apply only to melee weapons?

This is a work around, it gives you an item that allows you to use this feat. Not a great fix, but the only one I know of.
